After sandblasting where needed, all the sanding and preparation, and with everything ready for paint, epoxy primer was applied first. The paint was base coat/ clear coat, and the base colors were obtained from a local body shop by looking through their remnants and buying a pint of black pearl which was great for the wheels and tins.Click photos to Enlarge.

With the style of the bike being an old school bobber we were quite happy to find a full pint of 50's Cheverolet green that had been used to repaint a 1950 Cheverolet pickup. These were purchased at a fraction of the cost. I also used a generic clear coat that I've used before that sprays good and is very durable. This is a good way to save money on paint, if you're willing to be flexible on the colors.
