We used our shop built tubing jointer to saddle the backbone, frame tubes, and crossmembers as we fitted the frame together. Gusseting was tacked to the steering head. Then after everything was tacked in place and checked for square, final welding was completed. We now have a completed frame perimeter. Click photos to Enlarge. |

Motor mounts were fabricated from flat stock and bolted to the motor. The motor was then set in place, lined up and positioned, and then tack welded in place. The back motor mount was then fabricated with the right side welded to the frame. The left side bolted on to facilitate removal and installation of the motor. With everything secure and lined up, the mounts were welded in place. The old BSA motor looks a little rough, but when fitting and frame work is complete, plans call for a complete refurbishing. |
