
32. Blend the flats together with a good flat file.

33. With the anvil blank ready, radius gages are needed as a guide to work the anvil surface in. Using poster board or equivilent mark the radius needed and carefully cut with a razor knife.

34. Again, use a good flat grinding wheel and with the flat grind from side to side making an arc across the center of the anvil blank.

35. Check with the gage to see what correction might be needed.

36. Once the correct radius is obtained, rotate the piece 90° and repeat the process being careful not to remove material from the direct center. Then at 45° which will yield something that looks like 8 spokes or flower petal.
