21. The last parts welded on are the clamps that hold the air hammer and lower anvil support. A length of tube was used to keep the two lined up while welding. (The hammer clamp needs a shim to clamp down on the tube.)


22. This is clamped in place and welded.


23. With the frame finished the lower anvil support is next. This would normally require machine work, but with some careful hand work it can be done accurately.


 


24. The piece the anvil fits is 3/4" schedule 80 pipe which require a 3/4" drill run though it so the anvils will fit close (schedule 40 will work but the anvil will be a little on the loose side.)


25. Using the flat surface of a new grinding wheel square the end.
