
11. A nice straight cut.

12. This clamp is 1 1/2" pipe and will be used over 1 1/4" pipe which will not fit as is; so it has to be spread with a chisel to start on the 1 1/4" pipe.

13. This needs to be a slip fit, so it has to be worked with a hammer lightly from one end to the other until it slides easily.

14. For assembly, bolt the two flats together with approximately 1/4" washers between them.

15. Clamp the parts with the split in the pipe lined up with the 1/4" gap between the plates.
Clamp the split pieces with a piece of 1 1/4" pipe inside of it. Line up the split with the 1/4" gap between the plate and weld. These steps are used to make all the clamps including the air hammer clamp.
